We now offer personal coaching. It is available by appointment for only $65 per hour ($5 for the first minute and $1 per additional minute) You can schedule a 15 minute session or as long as 2 hours. Our expert staff can explain the operations of your camera, connection to your computer, how to organize your photos or any other questions you may have about photography or digital imaging.

This is a customized and hands-on instructional experience offered by Japan Camera foto source. Our instructor provides undivided attention and instruction on the topic of your choice.

Japan Camera foto source’s photo classes are full of fun learning, hands on examples and information you can use immediately to improve your photography. We have classes from Beginner to Digital SLR. Japan Camera photo classes are now available, and classes start at $30.

Our instructors make the difference. They are Japan Camera foto source experts and follow precise course guidelines designed to maximize your learning experience. Even after your class ends, Japan Camera foto source’s staff are available to assist and guide you.

Not sure where to begin with your digital camera? This class will cover what you need to know to get started. We will focus on the basic operating features common to most point & shoot cameras, like flash modes, scene modes and composition.

Beyond Beginner with Your Digital Camera

Learn to communicate with your point & shoot camera to get better pictures. Exploring your camera’s usefull features is often necessary to improve your shots. We will show you how to interpret the light around you and offer our tips on better composition. We will discuss focusing options and depth of field. We’ll cover getting your photos on to the computer and other topics that will help you on your way to more exciting memories.

SLR Workshop

This workshop is intended for new owners of digital SLR cameras. The class will cover camera components, settings and explain key accessories to enhance your camera experience. What is a SLR camera? When should I use auto? Why should I set shutter speed, aperture and ISO? How do I choose which lens to use? When do I use a flash? These questions and hopefully many more will be answered and lead you to discover the art of telling a better story with your photographs.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations one week prior to first class will receive a full refund. Cancellations up to 72 hours before first class receive full store credit at Japan Camera foto source. Refunds for less than 72 hours prior receive 50% store credit. Partial refunds for classes missed are not available. 

Japan Camera foto source reserves the right to cancel classes. In this case, students may choose a store credit or refund.
